Mirrors

I have always had this thing for Mirrors.
In fact my first "real" camera (a Canon point-and-shoot) was broken while taking pictures in a mirror.
We broke it on Thanksgiving day. I say "we" because it was team effort.
My little brother ,out of playfulness(which he, after reading this post draft informs me, "it wasn't out of playfulness, I was trying to break your camera" Isn't he a nice fella? ), threw a pillow (and it was not the softest pillow int he world) at me while I was holding my camera while taking pictures.

Well, the camera fell.
The camera hit the floor.
The camera's lens got smashed in.
The camera never took another picture.
It was a sad day.

After all these years we have never decided who actually was to blame, he thinks I did it (after all I was the one who dropped it), but I think it was his fault (he threw the pillow).
So have agreed not to agree.
But hey, if I would not have dropped my camera on the floor that fateful day, I would not have decided to save up money to buy my nice camera. So, I guess it was a good thing he threw that pillow at me.

This is the last picture I took with my little camera.

See him? See the pillow? See the sneer?
I totally have evidence.

And I am way off topic. Excuse me. I should re-name this post, "The Case Of The Fallen Camera".

The point is, I like taking pictures in mirrors.

Don't mind that I am holding my camera oddly, I always do that.

Sorry this one is blurry, I 'twas in a hurry. (Hey, that rhymed!)

Yes, I know this one is not focused on me, sorry.

Don't mind the large neon hat, it was the only hat I could find to keep my ears warm.
I don't like frozen ears.

Happy Friday!

  1. Ahhh! I love mirrors too, but we don't have any in places with pretty light... *pout* (Definitely gonna be a must in my future house-of-dreams...)
I am totally on your side -- Spencer did it. We photographer-sisters cannot be held responsible for the foolish actions of our camera-breaking siblings. Yes, you were the one holding the camera just before it dropped, but you were busy for Pete's sake! How were you supposed to be prepared for the pillow-missile that destroyed you little darling??!?!?!?!?!
Sorry -- I took that way too far and it doesn't even make sense. =P
But yeah, I'm still on your side.
Love all the mirror pics! The second from the bottom is my favorite, even though its a teeny bit blurry. The colors and light are scrumtious!

P.S. I cannot believe how short your brother looks in the "evidence" picture!!!

P.P.S. Sorry for the ridiculously long comment.

P.P.P.S. Sorry for making it even longer with all of the P.S.'s.

P.P.P.P.S. Sorry for that one too.

    P.P.P.P.P.S. Okay, I'll stop now. ;)
