To be honest, I haven't really been putting "heart and soul" into photography.
Not like I used to, I mean.
I don't take the time any more to practice like I should. Which is pretty hypocritical, concerning that I would tell anyone who wanted to become a good photographer that the BEST thing they can do is to take pictures all the time.
And I am not even doing that myself.
This winter was especially hard on my photography because all I wanted to do was be outside in the warm weather and see green trees again. But no, it was freezing and we always seemed to be getting another snow storm.
But you know what? Spring and summer are back.
And so is my longing to take pictures.
And not just a longing to take portraits, but to capture just life too.
The everyday things.
Oh boy. I look forward to more of this.
Maybe every day.

umm... I relate, a lot. =) I too want to do more photography "just for me" this summer, as I've really gotten out of the habit. Taking pictures of *everything* does a lot to get my creative juices flowing... not just shooting for other people. (Looooove the third picture from bottom!)
ReplyDeleteI love how rich the colors in your photographs are! :) I love the amber of the dog's eyes, and the shots of the violin. These are really good!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures. And I know exactly what you mean. It's kind of like that right now. I mean, I take pictures, but I don't as much as I should. And I have so many on my camera, that I need to take off and edit. :) Haha. Photographer problems.
ReplyDelete*Buuuurn*. Goodness, me too.
ReplyDeleteBut I'm awfully glad to see you taking steps to rectify the situation - so excited to see what's to come.
